Formed in 2002, Newark Amateur Boxing Club is dedicated to empowering young people through boxing, is the longest-running and most successful club of its kind in the town and it now has its own brand new website that you can check out here…
Its members train regularly with the highly experienced boxing coaches at Suggy’s Gym, including GB and England Development Coach Dean Sugden, and since February 2018 its most promising prospects have been given the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of families, friends and fans at several Home Shows.
The next ones will be taking place on Friday 18 October 2024 and Friday 28 March 2025 at Farndon Memorial Hall in Newark and details will be available soon on the Home page, on the NABC website and on social media.
NABC youngsters also made their mark on the world’s biggest international boxing event when they travelled to Sweden to take part in King Of The Ring, a three-day event from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 November 2023, when Joel Cook, Otis Pearson, Paddy Rooney, James Jordan, Robert Price and Travis Dunwell, were supported by Dean and also by Chad Sugden.
To find out more about Newark Amateur Boxing Club, keep an eye on the posts on the Suggy’s Gym Home page and of course on that new NABC website…
