Some unexpected news at today’s Kickboxing Grand Prix weigh ins

Not long to wait till the first bell over at The O2 in London tomorrow and, shortly after this afternoon’s weigh ins, some unexpected last-minute news about Bailey‘s fight on the card of MTGP‘s Kickboxing Grand Prix

“My opponent Andy Turland, who called me out and is ranked Number 2 at 63.5kg, didn’t even turn up today,” The British Bulldog told his followers on Instagram this evening. “He said he can’t make the weight for our 65kg match up and didn’t even say what weight he could make.”

Bailey, who made weight comfortably this afternoon, will now be going head to head with Matthieu Guevera, who was already in London to corner for Liam Harrison’s opponent.

“Matthieu’s a high level Muay Thai fighter but we will still be fighting under KGP rules,” added Bailey. “A big thank you to him for offering to step in – I’m really looking forward to doing battle with him!”

That first bell will be ringing at 8pm tomorrow and even if you aren’t one of Bailey’s 150-plus friends and fans heading to The O2, you can still catch all the action live on PPV
