Newark’s Chad Sugden gets set for tonight’s fight in Rotherham

Suggy’s Gym professional boxer Chad ‘2 Slick’ Sugden will be back in the ring tonight, fighting on the card of the 26RR Promotions show at the Magna Centre in Rotherham.

His opponent for this one will be Bahadur Karami, originally from Iran, whose record includes wins and draws against unbeaten boxers, together with strong and dangerous performances against other boxers where he was unlucky not to get his hand raised.

The weigh in took place on Friday 28 June in Doncaster, when Chad and Bahadur weighed in at 172lbs and 170lbs respectively, both looking in incredible shape as the pictures below show.

The first bell this evening is at 7.30pm and Chad’s fight, which his coach and father Dean Sugden describes as expected to be a massive test for the Newark boxer, is currently 3rd on the card when he will be supported by many of his family, friends, fans and sponsors who’ll be making the trip to Rotherham to cheer him on.
