Newark ABC new website now live

Formed in 2002, Newark Amateur Boxing Club is the longest-running club of its kind in the town and it now has its very own website that you’ll find if you follow this link!

NABC members train regularly with the highly experienced boxing coaches at Suggy’s Gym, including GB and England Development Coach Dean Sugden, who is delighted that, in the very short period of time since it gained charity status, Newark Amateur Boxing Club has formed a great team of people,

“Someone who certainly shares my passion and vision for NABC is the very experienced chair Nicki Peters-Bayford, who brings a real knowledge for what we are all about as a club.” said Dean.

“Local councillor Keith Girling has also joined the team as a trustee, along with Dave Thompson – they’re both big personalities in the town who will help us build towards the future and we have some really exciting plans for the coming 25 years, taking us towards our half century!

“All of the trustees share my passion for making a difference in the lives of everybody training with us at 49 Castlegate. It isn’t just about the boxers but about giving real value to everyone walking through the doors, something that Paul Jordan and Dieter Gent will both also play a part in, being on board to develop good communications with both students and their parents.”

“I am delighted that after only a short period of becoming a charity we have already achieved so much,” said Nicki.

“This includes securing significant funding, purchasing a new minibus, starting our schools intervention project and also building our brand new website, which is the source of all information regarding NABC including contact details, coaches and what we do.”
